The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has said arrangements are being concluded to build a mega testing centre in Abuja.
This was made known in the board’s weekly bulletin made available to The PUNCH on Monday.
According to the registrar, the proposed centre will have a seating capacity of 10,000 candidates per day during the board’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
He also said the multi- purpose IPTC, when completed, would take 2,500 candidates per session while adding that the centre would take off when all due processes have been completed.
Oloyede said, “With our mega CBT centre facility located in our hitherto National Headquarters in Bwari, the board will be able to conduct examinations for not less than 10,000 candidates per day.
“This is because we plan to have a 2,500-seater capacity CBT centre configured in such a way that at four sessions, we would be able to conduct 10,000 examinations for candidates per day.”
